General Practice

Seven general practitioners. Same hospital. Same medicine.

The general-practice side of Field & Stone is what most clients actually use most of the time. Wellness exams, vaccines, routine dentistry, diagnostics, same-day urgent care, senior medicine, and end-of-life care — performed by seven DVMs working in 30-minute appointment slots from 7 AM to 8 PM weekdays and 8 AM to 5 PM Saturdays.

The honest pricing note: a GP wellness exam at Field & Stone is $185. The same exam at a high-volume corporate practice in Pasadena is $95–$110. We charge what we charge because the appointment is longer, the doctor is not on a productivity quota, and the medicine is current. We do not hide the price.

The other honest note: GP and specialty live in the same building. If your GP DVM notices something during a wellness exam that needs a specialist's eye, the handoff is across the hallway — usually within the same visit. We do not refer out to a different building for cases we have the capacity to handle in-house.

Services

Eight categories of general-practice medicine.

01 · Wellness

Wellness & preventive medicine.

The annual wellness exam is the foundation of everything else. We screen for chronic disease before it presents clinically, update preventive medication selections based on your animal's lifestyle, and review nutrition, weight, and dental status. Wellness exam: $185.

02 · Vaccines

Lifestyle-tailored vaccine protocols.

Core vaccines for every patient (DAPP, rabies, FVRCP). Lifestyle vaccines (leptospirosis, lyme, bordetella, influenza, FeLV) selected based on your animal's exposure risk. We do not over-vaccinate. We use titers where appropriate.

03 · Dentistry

Routine and non-surgical dentistry.

Routine dental cleanings with full-mouth digital dental radiographs. Performed in the dedicated dental surgical suite. Complex extractions and oral surgery handled by the specialty dental service. Read more →

04 · Routine surgery

Spay, neuter, routine soft-tissue.

Full hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, in-house. CT, ultrasound, digital radiography. Lab turnaround under two hours during operating hours. Send-out cytology and histopathology coordinated with Antech or IDEXX.
